Overview

Organized by the Google Developer Student Club (GDSC) of Politecnico di Milano, this two-day hackathon, happening on April 20-21, is an event designed to inspire and challenge 150 bright students. As a club committed to fostering technological innovation and collaboration, we're excited to bring together a community of like-minded individuals passionate about creating solutions that matter.

Event Themes: This year, we're focusing on EdTech and FinTech—sectors ready for significant change and growth. Whether your passion lies in transforming the educational landscape through innovative learning tools, enhancing accessibility and engagement in learning, or reimagining financial services to be more inclusive, secure, and efficient, this is your platform to make a difference.

1. Applications and Team Formation

• How to Apply:

  • Application will be open until Saturday 13th April at 23:59 (Late applications will NOT be allowed)
  • You will receive a feedback on Monday 15th April
  • If you’ve been selected, be sure to confirm your participation through the email we will send

  You can register as an individual or a team and specify your preferred challenge, or even choose both, during registration.

• Team Requirements:

  • Teams will be made of up to four people. We suggest you form your own teams and apply together, however you can still sign up by yourself. In this case we will assign you to a team the day of the hackathon.
  • All members of a team must fill the application form specifying the same team name.
  • Teams who are made of less than four people might go through some changes in order to allow everyone to be part of a team.
    • What happens if my team is not made up of 4 people, or if I don't have a team?

  We suggest that your team has people with different expertise in it, to tackle the challenges from different points of view

2. What To Bring

Since the whole event lasts more than 30 hours, you want to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need.

Here is a quick list of the essentials:

• Personal ID
• Laptop and all chargers
• Brainstorming material (ex. Pencil case and notepad)
• Headphones
• Water bottle
• Sleeping bag (even if you are going to pull an all-nighter, it is nice to snuggle a little bit in your sleeping bag)
